the gebla story
ABOUT US
Ġebla grew out of a love for Maltese rock — rough, pocketed, and unlike anything else in the Mediterranean. For a while, that love also led us indoors: we built a bouldering gym, a space for the local climbing community to train, meet, and grow. It was a chapter we’re proud of, even if it wasn’t the easiest one.
When that chapter closed, rather than look for the next indoor project, we doubled down on what we’d been doing alongside it all along. The guiding was always there — on weekends, with visiting climbers, with beginners taking their first steps on real rock. We just decided it was time to make it the whole story.
Today, Ġebla is a fully outdoor guiding operation. No walls, no holds, no artificial grades — just real terrain, real routes, and real experience. We know Malta and Gozo’s crags like the back of our hand, and our goal is simple: to share them with anyone willing to tie in and give it a go.
