WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
New to climbing?
Anyone can climb. We feel pretty passionate about this. You don’t need to be an athlete, or have any experience to get started – we have climbs for all levels.
Bouldering is one of the main disciplines of climbing. You don’t need a rope, harness, or belayer. Our walls aren’t very tall and are built over thick padded mats.
You don’t need any expert knowledge and we always have someone on hand to help you get started. Bouldering is a simple, social, and fun way to climb.
We recommend you arrive at least 2 hours before we close so that you’ll have enough time to go through a brief induction with our team and fully explore the gym.
We talk you through the basics, make sure you know the etiquette, kit you out with shoes and chalk, and off you go!
Drop in for the day
You don’t need to be a member and can buy a day pass which is valid for the whole day. Most of our customers are members, but lots of people come just for the day.
A day pass can be picked up for €15, plus climbing shoes and chalk rental for €5.
Or become a member
Just like a regular gym, for €82 a month you can come in any time and stay as long as you like. We also offer 3 and 6 month memberships and all members get access to our Wednesday evening classes as well as discounts on courses, outdoor and other benefits.
What to wear and bring
Wear comfortable clothes you can move around in.
Climbing shoes are required but if you don't have your own, we have them available to rent.
Bring your water bottle. We have refills available for €0.50 but you'll need your bottle to fill up.
Fill out our waiver
You can do this when you arrive but if you want to get a head start, you can register and sign up online now.
Under 18s will need a parent or guardian to sign for them, so make sure to register before you come!
FIRST TIME TIPS
The only thing you need is a pair of climbing shoes and some chalk (it keeps your hands from becoming too sweaty). Climbing barefoot, or in non-climbing shoes is not allowed. Climbing shoes make climbing a lot easier, and will help you feel more secure and confident on our walls. We rent both, and are very happy to offer tips and advice when you’re ready to buy your own.
There is no doubt you’ll enjoy feeling a little achy after your first (and possibly every) climbing session! But if you want to climb for longer, and feel less sore the next day, warm up properly and stretch after your session. We are happy to offer some suggestions on effective ways to do both, just ask!
Bouldering is an exciting and fun sport—but it does come with risks. You’ll be given an induction when first come in to make sure you’re aware of what they might be. There aren’t many rules but please help us to ensure you and your fellow climbers are safe by respecting the few we have!
Any parent, guardian or chaperone responsible for a youth (14 and under) must maintain direct supervision over them during the entirety of their visit.
Treat the gym like a busy street. You need to look both ways before you cross, be sure not to run ahead, and be aware of your surroundings—including whatever or whoever might be above you!
Watch out for other climbers and never get too close to where someone else is climbing. If someone else is already on a route which crosses yours, give them the chance to send, and cheer them on while you’re at it!
We’ll help you get started and give you tips any time you come to us, but ask your fellow climbers too! We are a friendly bunch, happy to help, and most climbers are more about self-improvement than competing. If you’re stuck, just ask! This is all part of the fun of problem solving in a bouldering gym.
Unless you are looking for one to one coaching or to book in a group or event, you don’t need to make a reservation. Just check our opening hours online and come on in!
